The single most objective measure of the quality of a website--and the credibility and capabilities of its designer--is compliance with the professional web design standards promulgated by the World Wide Web Consortium. The "W3C" was established in 1994 to guide the Web to its full potential by developing standards and protocols that promote innovation while assuring interoperability and accessibility. In addition to guaranteeing error-free web pages and stylesheets, validating compliance with W3C standards helps assure that all users--regardless of culture, language, education, ability, material resources, access devices or physical limitations--have access to your site.

Valid CSS!

A key indicator of a web designer's commitment to quality is their adherence to W3C standards, and one way to test that is to validate their home pages. On Monday, 5 October 2009, we submitted for W3C validation the home pages of every website with "Top 10" Google, Yahoo or MSN Bing search rankings for the term web design miami. Web browser screen shots of the results from these submissions are displayed above.

Of the 18 South Florida web designer sites tested for W3C compliance, Bruce Arnold's PervasivePersuasion.com was once again the only one whose home page validated with no errors and no warnings:
