Validation Date: 21 December 2010
The single most objective measure of the quality of a website--and the credibility and capabilities of its designer--is compliance with the professional web design standards promulgated by the World Wide Web Consortium. The "W3C" was established in 1994 to guide the Web to its full potential by developing standards and protocols that promote innovation while assuring interoperability and accessibility. In addition to guaranteeing error-free web pages and stylesheets, validating compliance with W3C standards helps assure that all users--regardless of culture, language, education, ability, material resources, access devices or physical limitations--have access to your site.
A key indicator of a web designer's commitment to quality is their adherence to W3C standards, and one way to test that is to validate their web pages. On Tuesday, 21 December 2010, we submitted for W3C validation all of the web pages with "Top 20" Bing search rankings for the term web 3.0 design. Web browser screen shots of the results from these submissions are displayed above.
Of the 20 web pages tested for W3C compliance, only Bruce Arnold's WebReDesignMiami.com, PervasivePersuasion.com and WebReDesignUsa.com validated without errors:
